The Brazilian telecommunications regulator Anatel has given French mobile virtual network enabler (MVNE) Sisteer a licence to operate as a full mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) in Brazil – making it the third firm to dip its toe in the market. In a press release, the Tier One European MVNE said it has been issued with a ‘autorizada’ type licence which gives it the ability to implement a full MVNE platform and manage the entire value chain. Further, the permit allows Sisteer to operate all the technical and operational components required to commercialise MVNO offerings in Brazil, it said.
