WiMAX wireless broadband internet access provider Augere, which operates under the Qubee brand, has announced that its networks in Bangladesh and Pakistan reached 125,000 and 75,000 WiMAX subscribers respectively at the end of March 2012, representing a 130% year-on-year increase across the combined operations. In Bangladesh, Qubee’s WiMAX internet customer base grew by 178% in the twelve-month period, while in Pakistan the subscriber growth rate was 79% over the year. Augere’s CEO, David Venn, said: ‘We are delighted to have reached the 200,000 customer mark across two of our key markets.
