Unicom lines up CNY100bn for 3G expansion

China’s second largest cellcos by subscribers, China Unicom, is reportedly planning to pump some CNY100 billion (USD15.813 billion) into infrastructure construction in 2012. According to C114, Unicom is planning to increase the footprint and capacity of its 3G and broadband networks to meet rising demand for data-use.
