The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) has released statistical and financial information on Canadian cable and satellite TV broadcasting companies for the twelve months ended 31 August 2011. The sector’s total revenues climbed from CAD12.5 billion (USD12.6 billion) to CAD13.5 billion in the twelve months under review, with cable companies reporting turnover of CAD11 billion in the year ended August 2011, up by 8.2% from CAD10.1 billion a year earlier, which included television, internet access and telephone services
