South Africa’s Vodacom Group has unveiled substantial roaming discounts for Vodacom South Africa subscribers using their mobile phones in the four African countries where it operates, namely: the Democratic Republic of Congo, Lesotho, Mozambique and Tanzania. In addition, cut-price tariffs are also available in Kenya and Ghana, where Vodacom’s UK-based parent company Vodafone Group has subsidiaries in the shape of Safaricom (Kenya) and Vodafone Ghana. Data rates have been slashed by more than 70%, from ZAR17.50 (USD2.25) per MB to just ZAR5 per MB
